How to Store Products with Limited Space

You’ve invested in beautiful cover sets for your Portable Backdrop Panels—now the question is, where do you store them when they’re not in use?

We know that storage space is at a premium in most churches, schools, and event venues. Whether you’re rotating sets for sermon series, seasonal décor, or special events, having a simple, efficient storage solution can make all the difference in preserving your investment and your sanity.

Here’s our best advice for storing your cover sets when space is limited:

1. Keep the Shipping Boxes

How we store boxes in our warehouse.

Our number one recommendation? Hold on to the boxes your order came in.

Each set is shipped in a box designed to fit the panels perfectly. By removing the flaps from these boxes, you instantly have labeled, ready-to-use storage containers that keep your cover sets organized and protected. When you're done using a set, simply stack it and slide it back into its labeled box. We recommend labeling by set name for ease of access in the future.

Pro tip:

  • Store the boxes vertically, leaning against a wall, or

  • Stack them horizontally on a shelf to save floor space.

Either way, your sets stay protected, sorted, and easy to access for your next use.

2. Stack + Shrink Wrap (No Boxes? No Problem.)

If you don’t have room to store multiple boxes—or if you’ve already tossed them—there’s still a compact solution.

Stack your cover sets carefully (organized by type, theme, or usage frequency), and then shrink wrap them tightly together. This keeps the panels from sliding around or becoming mismatched, while also eliminating the extra inches that boxes take up.

Bonus benefit: Shrink-wrapped bundles are easy to move, especially if you’re loading them on carts or into storage closets.

3. Think Vertical for Storage

We’ve seen many of our clients get creative with vertical storage solutions. Tall closets, unused corner nooks, or custom shelving units can be great places to stand boxed or wrapped cover sets upright.

If floor space is limited but ceiling height is available, go up! Wall-mounted brackets or vertical shelving can safely support and store multiple sets without taking over your square footage.

4. Label Everything

Whether you’re storing in original boxes or using shrink wrap, clear labeling is key. We recommend labeling by:

  • Theme or Series (e.g., “Easter 2024”, “VBS Jungle”, “Modern Abstract”)

  • Panel Dimensions (so you know which panel size they’re made for if you have both)

  • Usage Notes (if a set needs touch-ups or is missing a piece)

You’ll save yourself time and stress down the road when it’s time to set up again.

Final Thoughts: Store Smart, Not Big

The great thing about Portable Backdrop Panels is their flexibility, and that includes how you store them. Whether you’re working with a supply closet, a backstage corner, or a shared AV room, you can implement one of these solutions to maximize space and minimize hassle.
